Introduction

Currently our the toughest walk we have undertaken, Dunes walk Means literally walking up and down on the Kgalagadi Sand dunes. It will be two days of walking (40km). The campsite for the entire walk is placed beautifully on top of a sand dune! Imagine the nights under the stars! Start and finish of the walk in Struizendam (800km from Gaborone). Total 50km walking during the two days and camel ride experience.

Program

Friday: Departure from Gaborone with bus at 06:00 hours. Venue will be informed to you. Short stop at Jwaneng. Arriving to Tsabong approx. 1300hrs and journey continues to Struzendam and arrival at 1800hrs. Setting up camp on top of the dunes outside Struizendam Village. Welcome by the village Chief,then Supper.

Saturday: Breakfast. Start walking at 06:45. Lunch on the walk. Back at camp, soak feet, have tea, coffee and muffins. Supper and camp fire. Staff from the Tsabong Camel Park will tell us about camels as a warm up for the Sunday walk with camels.

Sunday: Breakfast then walk back to Struizendam Village on a different route. We will arrive around lunch time, then we travel to Tsabong (250km) .

Monday: Breakfast and packing up to return home with the bus or own vehicle.

Practical Info

Meals: Breakfast, lunch package and supper. Water and fruits served during the walk.

Transport: Y Care bus or own vehicle. Own driving: Please email us and we will send you the direction. 515km Gaborone – Tsabong – Bokspits-struizendam Participation Fee: P4 500.00 per person + trp.
